How much Messi spends to maintain his apartment in Sunny Isles
In April of last year, Lionel Messi bought a flat in the Regalia tower, at 19575 Collins Avenue in the city of Sunny Isles.
The Argentine soccer player paid US$7.3 million for an apartment that was asking for US$7.9 million. Today, nine months later, for the same unit, but three floors below, the sale value is US$9.5 million. Lio is also a financial crackpot: in nine months, with the rise in the Miami real estate market, his property appreciated 30%, or about $2 million.
The ninth floor is in the name of Celromalima LLC, a corporation whose manager is Jorge Messi, his father. It has 463 square meters, four bedrooms, six bathrooms, and a terrace of almost 200 square meters overlooking the Atlantic Ocean, the millionaire houses of Golden Beach, and the intercoastal.
It also has a wine cellar for a thousand bottles. But the good life comes at a cost, for per month he pays US$7,943 in expenses, and an annual tax that in 2021 was US$71,000.
Regalia is a luxury condominium opened in 2014 with only 39 residences on 44 floors. It has a pool with infinity edge to the sea, a spa, gym, yoga studio, playground, bar and restaurant for residents only.
