Neighbor of the Recoleta Cultural Center

To the Head of Government of the City of Buenos Aires, Horacio Rodríguez Larreta:

Soy neighbor of the Recoleta Cultural Center and every now and then I find myself invaded by the music of a festival or by film week or some other event.

Without any respect for the environment and noise pollution, the authoritarianism of the speakers deafens us for hours leaving us in our houses without being able to do anything but pray that the noise ends once and for all.

Needless to say, music is not exactly what I would call “a cultural event”, although not even the most exalted music could be welcomed with that volume.

The tests usually start very early, 8:30 AM and the music or movies, depending on the day’s agenda, can last until 12 at night or even continue into the early hours, for two or three days and sometimes for a week.

The ABL we pay is very high and one of the little luxuries we would like to give ourselves is a little peace and quiet when we return to our homes..

I suggest that these events with their thunderous noise move to locations further away from residential neighborhoods.
