The Biden family has a new pet in the White House: Willow
WASHINGTON.- The America’s presidential couple finally kept one of their promises: install a cat in the White House. It is a short-haired tabby cat named Willowa spokesman for Jill Biden, wife of President Joe Biden.
Images posted by the first lady on Twitter show the gray and white striped mascot prowling the splendor of the presidential residence’s red carpet.
This is nice news, which the White House could need in these days of tension with Russia, the rise in inflation and the spread of the Covid-19 pandemic.
Willow has a “political past”: The two-year-old is a farm-raised cat in Pennsylvania, ground zero of the close presidential election, and was first seen in 2020 when she jumped onto the stage where the soon-to-be first lady was campaigning.
”Willow made a great impression” on Biden, said Michael LaRosa, the first lady’s press secretary. “Seeing their immediate link, the farm owner knew Willow belonged to Biden.” He added: “Willow is settling into the White House with her favorite toys, treats, and plenty of room to sniff and explore.”
