Gonzalo Heredia’s question about a Netflix series that opened a debate on the networks

However, some of the users agreed that although they liked the plot and the story, they considered it very dramatic. While a few, branded it as having a basic argument, which did not excite them and therefore, they did not finish seeing it.

Strictly speaking, the series was inspired by the book Maid: Hard Work, Low Pay, and a Mother’s Will to Survive (Maid: Hard work, low pay and a mother’s will to survive), from Stephanie Land, who relates in his memoirs everything she went through after leaving her violent husband.

In the story, released in October on Netflix, the role of Land is played by Margaret Qualley. While, Andie MacDowell -just like in real life- she takes on the role of the main character’s mother. The cast is completed with Nick Robinson, Billy Burke, Tracy Vilar, Raymond Ablack and Aimee Carreroamong other actors.
