
Toledo, at the head of cities that reuses the most used clothing through Cáritas

Councilor for Street Cleaning, Ramon Lorente, and the general secretary of Caritas, Monica Moreno, have taken stock this Friday of the collaboration agreement that the Toledo City Council has maintained with Cáritas since 2019 for the selective collection of used clothing in the capital.
In this way, they have expressed that through the 24 containers of used clothing in the city, in 2021 a total of 301 tons of clothes, 17.9 percent more than in 2020. The total collected represents 18.54 percent of the total waste, which means that the city is in the ranking of the cities that reuse the most used clothing, since the national average is 12.16 percent and Castilla la Mancha is located in the 9.10 percent.
The City Council plans to install soon three other containers more in La Legua and the new hospital.
