The Spanish-Venezuelan Garbiñe Muguruza, number three in the world, was surprisingly eliminated this Thursday in the second round of the Australian Open against the French veteran Alizé Cornet 6-3, 6-3.
Muguruza, who finished the previous season with a meritorious victory in the WTA Finals, struggled with her serve and could barely put up a fight against the inspired French tennis player, number 61 in the world.
