Toulon is committed to “a living Toledo” that offers different experiences to visitors




With the promotional video “I am Toledo”, the regional capital will be presented at the International Tourism Fair (Fitur 2022), a campaign that Mayor Milagros Tolón presented this Monday at the Parador of the two ambassadors of the year: Pepe Rodríguez, Michelin star and; Iván Cerdeño, second Michelin star, and those responsible for gastronomy being another of the referents and a claim to reach this city, a World Heritage Site.

Accompanied by the prestigious chefs, whom she has defined as the best “ambassadors of the city”, Toulon has described the tourism sector as “fundamental” and as a “main engine” of Toledo’s economy, assuring that “a city that is good to live, is good to visit».

In this sense, Milagros Tolón has stressed that the city has a rich historical and cultural heritage. In addition, it has the largest number of monuments per square meter in Spain and the second in the world after Rome. It has an unprecedented gastronomic heritage, “tourism continues to be a main engine for our economy and is configured as a fundamental sector in the city.”

For this reason, the tourism sustainability plan that has already been approved by the Community Board and the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Tourism with 4.2 million euros has had an impact. “A project that will guide the action of our city throughout this year and the next,” said the Toledo councilor.
