Covid in Argentina: 65,241 new cases and 51 deaths reported in the last 24 hours
In the midst of the third wave and the epidemiological outbreak resulting from the arrival of the omicron variant, the Ministry of Health of the Nation reported 65,241 new infections of coronaviruses registered in the last 24 hours. The total confirmed is 7,094,865, while 895,744 cases are considered active.
Meanwhile, health centers across the country recorded 51 deceased for the disease. Since the start of the pandemic, they already add 118,040 dead.

The World Health Organization (WHO) recommends that the percentage of positivity of the tests by coronavirus must not exceed 10%, since exceeding that threshold would imply that the number of swabs being made is insufficient. This Sunday, that value reached 60.9% in our country.
In this sense, it was reported thatYesterday 106,993 tests were processed. Since the start of the outbreak, 30,511,664 diagnostic tests have been carried out for this disease.
On the other hand, Until yesterday, 2,036 people had the disease in Intensive Care Units (ICU). Therapy beds are 42.4% occupied nationally. In the Metropolitan Area of Buenos Aires (AMBA) that number reaches 42.1%.
In turn, in the Public Vaccination Monitor, which depends on the health portfolio, it is indicated that, with data up to 4 in the morning, 100,170,778 doses were distributed. 82,268,643 have already been applied: 38,988,156 people received a single dose and of that total, 33,984,348 completed the vaccination process and 9,296,139 received a booster or third dose.
