Week with strong drops for the value of the property in the Liniers Market

The different classifications of steers had the following current prices: $215/233 for the light ones; $205/225 for medium; $200/220 for the heavy ones, and $200/225 for the very heavy ones, with more than 520 kilos. The maximum price was $240, assigned to a lot with an average of 448 kilos,

On Wednesday, the Novillo Liniers Index closed at $208,437, 3.89% below the $216,877 of the previous Wednesday, and 5.90% below the $221,517 on Friday the 7th.

For the sale of the small categories, 8,739 animals were sent to the Liniers Market, equivalent to 49.79% of the total marketed. The fluctuation of the current values ​​was as follows: in steers, with 4,502 animals sold, $240/255 for the light ones from 300 to 350 kg; $240/250 for the medium ones from 351 to 390 kg, and $220/235 for the heavy ones from 391 to 430 kg, and in heifers, with 4,237 heads, $230/245 for the light ones; $210/225 for medium, and $200/215 for heavy.

The maximum values ​​were, in steers, $265 for lightweights with 318 kilos; $256 for mediums with 369 kg, and $250 for heavy with 395 kg, and in heifers, $255 with 306 kg; $247 with 366 kg, and $220 with 399 and 400 kilos.

With 6,222 heads, equivalent to 35.45 percent of the total negotiated, the sale of the various categories and classifications of cows took place, the only ones for which the buyers showed a sustained interest during the course of the sessions that are recorded here.

Current prices for good cows, suitable for cutting and butchering, ranged from 170 to 180 pesos per kilo, while for regular ones they ranged from 160 to 170 pesos. In the canned and manufactured type, $150/155 were assigned for the most reddish and $140/150 for the inferior ones. The best price obtained in the category, far removed from the rest, was $200 for two batches with an average of 479 and 517 kg,

In the general balance, the females added 10,459 heads, with a participation of 59.59 percent in the total sold.
