Third wave of Covid: Fernán Quirós assured that classes are not suspended and referred to the possibility that vaccines are mandatory for children

The Minister of Health of the City, Fernán Quirós, spoke this morning about the sharp increase in cases reported in the territory, in the midst of the third wave of coronavirus in Argentina, and stressed that the beginning of the school year is not in danger. because if the pertinent precautions are taken, massive infections will not occur in the classrooms.

“The message is that we have already learned that strictly complying with the protocols, this is a disease that spreads very little. The vast majority of infections occur when we break the protocol,” said the Buenos Aires official, adding: “We are going to continue taking care of the essential places of society and education for us is one of them.”

After ensuring that face-to-face classes are guaranteed, Quirós spoke in dialogue with radio Miter about the chance that the vaccine in minors will become mandatory: “Vaccines have not yet been definitively approved. To do so, phase 4 is required, ending with the analysis of long-term adverse effects. It is a reasonable debate to give but as of today we have to wait”.
