Coronavirus in Argentina: 96,652 new cases and 88 deaths were registered

In the midst of the third wave, the Ministry of Health of the Nation reported that 96,652 coronavirus infections were registered in the last 24 hours. The total confirmed is 7,029,624, while 933,562 are considered active.

Meanwhile, health centers across the country recorded 88 deaths from the disease. The number of fatalities since the pandemic began is 117,989.

The World Health Organization (WHO) recommends that the percentage of positivity of tests for coronavirus does not exceed 10%, since exceeding that threshold would imply that the number of swabs being made is insufficient.

In that sense, it was reported that 198,160 tests were processed in the last 24 hours. Since the start of the outbreak 29,858,244 diagnostic tests were performed for this disease.

In turn, in the Public Vaccination Monitor, which depends on the health portfolio, it is indicated that, with data up to 4 in the morning, 99.010.905 dose. 80,624,548 have already been applied: 38,707,135 people received a single dose and of that total, 33,588,297 completed the vaccination process and 8,167,077 received a booster or third dose.
