Lionel Messi left the country this Tuesday night, after having tested negative in the latest PCR tests for coronavirus. The star of Paris-Saint Germain was registered with his family by LA NACION at the Rosario International Airport minutes before boarding the flight that will return him to the “city of light.”
“La Pulga” returns to the French capital after spending the end of the year festivities in his hometown. The captain of the Argentine team was diagnosed with the disease in the middle of the third wave of cases facing the country.
“As I explained in my last press conference, there are different priorities. The priority was to take a break after a very busy year, the players and the staff needed to spend time with their families ”, Mauricio Pochettino had justified about the days off he gave the team for the holidays.
The Argentine, who had a special permit to join a day later, delayed his return to Paris and was one of the four footballers who tested positive.
